Delayed speech development is a situation when a child does not achieve the expected development standards in the field of pronunciation of sounds, vocabulary, building grammatically correct sentences and understanding speech. This problem can have a variety of causes, including genetic factors, premature birth, hearing impairment, lack of stimulation and speech patterns in the environment, underdevelopment of certain speech areas of the brain, and other factors.
